Football Team Finder was set up with the objective of becoming the most important resource portal for football teams looking for new players and football players looking for new teams.
It covers both Saturday and Sunday league and is for use by all ages, genders and abilities.
The website provides the functionality for teams to place adverts detailing exactly what they are looking for in a new player (or coach, manager or Chairman) which can then be searched by potential new players looking to join a team.
It is location driven with three different search facility functions which enables players to search for a team in the specific part of the country they are looking to play.
Football Teams Finder can be used at any stage of the season but will be particularly useful during those periods of the season when the squad is 'reduced to the bare bones' such as:
· Pre-season for that all important push for the forthcoming season
· The “stag-do” season – after all, who can turn the chance of Amsterdam…?
· The “wedding” season – particularly troublesome if it involves a player in the team…
· The “skiing” season – just after Christmas when it’s cold, wet and windy and your centre-half decides to visit Val d'Isère
Let’s face it, nobody likes a game being called off which you have been looking forward to all week at work or worse still having a result declared 5-0 against you because you couldn't field a team.
Rather than advertising in different types of media such as newspapers, online notice boards and radio it is envisioned that teams will use this website as their first calling point to find new players and that players will use it to find new teams……………the aim is to bring the clubs and players together.
